Differences between Yotascale and AWS Cost Explorer

While both applications use the same source of data to calculate costs, there are minor differences in how the costs are grouped.

For example, EC2 costs are different between the two apps. To match EC2 costs in Yotascale, both EC2 and EC2-Other need to be included for Cost Explorer to be equal.

Yotascale EC2 = Cost Explorer (EC2 + EC2-Other)

However, there is one exception, if Savings Plans or discounts are involved the equivalent costs are:

Yotascale EC2 = Cost Explorer (EC2 + EC2-Other+Discounts)
