Yotascale offers three distinct categories of cost-saving recommendations:

• Discount Level: These recommendations focus on maximizing savings through reservations, savings plans, and committed use discounts. Applied at the payer/billing account level (or a combination of account, subscription, project, and region), these recommendations are displayed at the root level of the Yotascale lens. When a comprehensive discount plan is not in place, these recommendations can achieve cost reductions of over 30%.

• Resource Utilization: This category targets optimizations within your existing resources. Yotascale identifies opportunities to rightsize, shut down, or otherwise improve the efficiency of your cloud resources while maintaining performance. These recommendations are assigned to specific teams and business contexts within a lens, using tags, services, and account IDs. Resource utilization adjustments are highly actionable and can be implemented incrementally, yielding potential savings exceeding 20%. Expect new opportunities in this category on a weekly basis.

• Container Pod Rightsizing: Leveraging Yotascale's internal engine, this category analyzes up to 30 days of historical workload metrics (CPU and memory) to recommend optimal resource sizes for your containerized applications. By maintaining cluster performance while minimizing costs, these recommendations can save you upwards of 50% if your workloads are not yet optimized.
