Recommendations

Reserved Instance Purchase Recommendation

The recommendation engine will suggest an optimal number of Reserved Instances to purchase--a number that ensures maximum cost savings and minimum reservation wastage. The user has the option to tweak the recommendations by configuring purchase options (no upfront, partial upfront, full upfront), purchase terms (1-year, 3-year) and other configurations.

Stop or Terminate Amazon EC2 Instances with Minimal utilization

The software will identify which EC2 instances are underutilized and will calculate potential savings if those instances were not in active usage.

Rightsize Amazon EC2 Instances

The rightsizing recommendation provides suggestions on which EC2 instance families and instance sizes to migrate your existing workloads in order to achieve maximum savings keeping past performance requirements as a minimum threshold.

Stop or Terminate Amazon RDS Instances with no activity

The software will identify which RDS instances are underutilized and will calculate potential savings if those instances were not in active usage. The criteria used to determine potential candidates is the connection count metric.

Downsize Amazon RDS Instances that have low utilization

The software will recommend smaller RDS Instance sizes if it deems that your workload will fit without taking a performance hit.
